Car
If you're traveling by car, make your way to Stone Town in Zanzibar. From the main road, follow signs to Mizingani Road. The Old Fort is situated directly along Mizingani Road, and you can find parking nearby. Be aware that parking may incur a small fee, typically around 5,000 TZS. The fort is a short walk from the main areas of Stone Town.
Public Transportation
To reach Old Fort using public transportation, take a 'dala dala' (local minibus) to Stone Town. Once you arrive in Stone Town, ask for directions to Mizingani Road, as it's a known landmark. The fare for the dala dala is usually around 400 TZS. Upon getting off, walk towards Mizingani Road, and you will see Old Fort within a few minutes.
Walking
If you find yourself in the heart of Stone Town, Old Fort is easily accessible on foot. Simply head towards Mizingani Road. The fort is located near the ocean, making it a scenic walk. It should take you no more than 15 minutes from the central market area. Look for the large stone structure; it's one of the prominent landmarks.
