Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Mwanza, which is approximately 120 km away from Moru Kopjes. Take the B1 road heading south towards the Ndabaka Gate of the Western Serengeti. Follow the signs for Serengeti National Park. After passing through Ndabaka Gate, continue on the road until you reach the entrance to the Moru Kopjes area. The drive may take around 2 to 3 hours depending on road conditions. Make sure to have the entrance fee ready, which is approximately $70 USD per person for international tourists.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, first head to the Mwanza bus station. From there, take a bus heading to the Serengeti National Park. Buses typically leave in the morning and the fare is around $30 USD. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Ndabaka Gate.
