If you are driving from Mahale Mountains, head towards the town of Mbeya. From there, take the A104 road heading southeast towards Matamba. Continue on this road until you reach the sign for Kitulo National Park. The entrance is located at WWCH+96, Matamba. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some sections of the road may be rough.
Public Transportation
To reach Kitulo National Park via public transportation from Mahale Mountains, first, find a local bus or shared taxi to Mbeya. These usually depart from central locations in the Mahale region. Once in Mbeya, look for a bus heading to Matamba. Upon arriving in Matamba, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to the entrance of Kitulo National Park at WWCH+96.
