If you are driving, head southeast from your location in the Masai Steppe towards the town of Chwaka. From Chwaka, follow signs to Jozani Forest. The forest is located approximately 30 kilometers from Chwaka. Turn onto the road leading to Jozani and continue straight until you reach the entrance of the forest. Please note that there may be a small entrance fee to access Jozani Forest, which is usually around $10 per person.
Public Transportation
To reach Jozani Forest via public transportation, first, take a daladala (minibus) from your current location to the nearest town, such as Chwaka or Zanzibar Town. From there, look for a daladala heading towards Jozani. Confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at the forest entrance. The journey may cost around $2-$3. Once you arrive at the entrance, be prepared to pay an entrance fee, which is typically around $10 per person.
