If you are traveling by car, start from Moshi, which is a common entry point to the region. From Moshi, take the A23 road heading south towards Taveta. After approximately 70 kilometers, turn onto a gravel road that leads to Lake Jipe. The lake is about 25 kilometers from the main road. Be cautious of local wildlife and rough patches on the road. Parking is available near the lake.

Public Transportation (Matatu)
From Moshi, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) that heads to Taveta. The matatu stand is located near the Moshi bus terminal. After about 1.5 to 2 hours of travel, get off at the Taveta junction. From there, you can hire a local boda-boda (motorbike taxi) or a private taxi to take you the remaining 25 kilometers to Lake Jipe. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
