Walking
From the center of Singida, start at the Singida Bus Stand (also known as the Singida Central Bus Terminal). Head south towards the main road (Chuo Kikuu Road). Walk along this road until you reach the intersection with the Dodoma-Singida highway. Cross the highway carefully and continue walking on the main road towards Katesh, which is approximately 28 kilometers away. You may encounter local villages along the way, and it's advisable to ask locals for directions or assistance if needed. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Katesh.
Public Transport
From the Singida Bus Stand, look for daladalas (shared minibuses) heading towards Katesh. The fare is usually affordable, and you can ask locals for the specific daladala that goes to Katesh. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to go to Mount Hanang'. The journey may take about an hour. After arriving in Katesh, ask local residents for directions to Mount Hanang' (HC22+6F). It's a well-known landmark, so locals should be able to guide you. The mountain is located roughly 10 kilometers from the Katesh town center.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Singida. Start at the Singida Bus Stand and follow the same route as if you were walking. Cycle south on Chuo Kikuu Road and continue until you reach the Dodoma-Singida highway. Cross safely and continue cycling towards Katesh. The ride is scenic and may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Upon reaching Katesh, use a local map or ask for directions to Mount Hanang' (HC22+6F), which is about 10 kilometers from the town.
