Getting There

Walking
Start at the Forodhani Gardens, a popular waterfront area in Stone Town. From the gardens, head east along the coastline towards the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe). Continue walking along the seafront until you reach the Old Fort. Once at the Old Fort, take a right and walk up the street called Gizenga Street. Follow this street until you reach the junction with Nyumba Ya Moto Street. The Zanzibar Cannons are located near the People's Palace, just a short walk down Nyumba Ya Moto Street on your left.

If you are starting from the Darajani Market, exit the market and head towards Mkunazini Street. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Kenyatta Road, then turn right. Continue straight until you reach the Old Fort. Once there, follow the same directions as above, walking east along the seafront and then taking a right onto Gizenga Street until you reach Nyumba Ya Moto Street.
