Getting There

Walking
Start from the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe) in the heart of Stone Town. Exit the fort and walk towards the Forodhani Gardens, which is located along the waterfront. Continue walking along the promenade of the Forodhani Gardens. As you walk, you'll see the beautiful Indian Ocean on your left. Keep walking straight until you reach the end of the gardens, where you will see a pathway that leads directly to Stone Town Beach. The beach is easily identifiable and offers stunning views, especially at sunset.

If you are starting from the House of Wonders (Beit-el-Ajaib), exit the museum and head towards the waterfront. Walk straight down to the Forodhani Gardens. Once you reach the gardens, follow the same path along the promenade as mentioned before, heading towards the beach. The beach is located just beyond the gardens and is a popular spot for both locals and tourists.

From the Darajani Market, exit the market and walk towards the waterfront. You will find yourself on a main street; follow it until you see signs or directions towards Forodhani Gardens. Continue walking towards the gardens and then along the promenade until you reach Stone Town Beach. The beach is a short walk from the gardens.
