Getting There

Walking
From the center of Tanga, head east towards the Tanga Beach area. Walk along the main road, Mombasa Road, until you reach the junction with Kange Road. Continue straight onto Kange Road, which will eventually lead you out of the city limits. After approximately 2 km, you will notice signs pointing towards Tangata. Follow these signs as the road curves and heads into more rural terrain. You'll need to walk about 5 km from the city to reach the base of Tangata, which is marked by a small trailhead.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop near the Tanga central market. Start your journey by cycling east on Mombasa Road. As you reach the junction with Kange Road, take a left and continue cycling straight. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Tangata.
