Car
If you are driving from Stone Town, head northeast on Malindi Rd towards Bungi. Follow the road for approximately 8 km. After passing the village of Bungi, look for signs directing you to 'Beach for sunset' near the coordinates P8PM+XM. There is a small dirt road leading to the beach area. Parking is available nearby, but be cautious of local traffic and road conditions.
Public Transportation
To reach 'Beach for sunset' using public transportation, take a dala-dala (local minibus) from the main dala-dala stand in Stone Town heading towards Bungi. The fare is approximately 1,500 TZS (Tanzanian Shillings). The journey will take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Bungi, ask the driver to drop you near the beach area. From there, it’s a short walk to the beach for sunset, following the local paths. Be sure to check the dala-dala schedule for the return trip, as they may not run late into the evening.
