Car
If you are driving to the Snorkeling zone in Kigomani, start from Stone Town. Take Nyerere Road and follow signs for the A1 highway towards the northern part of the island. Continue on A1 until you reach the junction for B2. Turn left onto B2 and follow it until you reach the village of Matemwe. From Matemwe, continue on the coastal road passing through various small villages until you arrive at Kigomani. Look for the coordinates 596R+QR, which will guide you to the snorkeling area. Parking is usually available nearby.
Public Transportation (Daladala)
To reach the Snorkeling zone from Stone Town using daladala (local minibus), head to the daladala station near the Old Fort. Look for a dala dala heading towards Nungwi or Kendwa. The fare is usually around 2,000 TZS. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Kigomani. Once you arrive at Kigomani, walk towards the coordinates 596R+QR, which is where the snorkeling zone is located. Be prepared for a short walk from the main road to the snorkeling area.
Taxi
For a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi from your location in Zanzibar. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 50,000 to 80,000 TZS depending on your starting point. The driver can take you directly to Kigomani, guiding you to the snorkeling zone at 596R+QR. This option is ideal if you are traveling in a group or have heavy snorkeling gear.
