Getting There

  • Dalla-Dalla

    From any central location in Zanzibar City, locate a Dalla-Dalla (local minibus) heading towards Nungwi or Matemwe. These minibuses typically depart from the main Dalla-Dalla station near Darajani Market. Board the Dalla-Dalla and inform the conductor that you want to get off at Muyuni Beach. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Kijambani area, ask the conductor to drop you off at the nearest point to Muyuni Beach.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Zanzibar City. Start your journey by heading north along the main road, following signs towards Nungwi. After about 14 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path towards Matemwe. Continue cycling for another 5 kilometers until you reach Kijambani. Look for signs or locals to guide you to Muyuni Beach, which will be nearby.
