Start at the Forodhani Gardens, located along the waterfront in Stone Town. From the gardens, head south along the shoreline promenade. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the main road (Mkunazini Street). Turn left onto Mkunazini Street and walk along it for about 10 minutes. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Shangani Gardens. After about 10 minutes, when you reach the intersection with R5PP+6P3, turn right. You will soon see Shangani Gardens on your left.

If you are starting from the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe), exit the fort and head east towards the waterfront. Once you reach the beach, turn left and walk along the promenade. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Mkunazini Street. Turn right onto Mkunazini Street, and continue walking for another 5 minutes. As you approach the intersection with R5PP+6P3, turn left. Shangani Gardens will be on your left, just a short walk away.
