Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Stone Town, head east towards the shore. Walk along the waterfront road, which is known as the Mizingani Seafront. Continue walking along this path until you reach the end of the road where you will find the Forodhani Gardens. At the gardens, you can enjoy the view of the ocean and local food vendors. From Forodhani Gardens, continue walking along the coast for about 15-20 minutes, keeping the water on your left. You will eventually reach a sign indicating Pete's Beach #2, located at R5PP+2V8. Follow the signs towards the beach, and you will arrive at your destination.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Stone Town. Start at the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe), which is centrally located. From there, cycle along the waterfront road (Mizingani Seafront) towards the east. After about 20 minutes of cycling, you will reach Forodhani Gardens. Continue cycling along the coast, following the signs for Pete's Beach #2. It should take you around 30 minutes to reach the beach from the Old Fort.

  • Public Transport (Dala-Dala)

    To reach Pete's Beach #2 using public transport, first head to the Dala-Dala terminal located near the Old Fort in Stone Town. Look for a Dala-Dala heading towards Paje or Jambiani. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Pete's Beach area or R5PP+2V8. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive, look for signs directing you to the beach area, which is a short walk from the Dala-Dala drop-off point.
