If you're traveling by car, start from Gatlinburg, TN. Head south on US-441 S (Great Smoky Mountains Parkway) for about 9 miles. Look for the 'Alum Cave Trailhead' sign on your left. Turn left onto the road leading to the trailhead parking area. Please note that parking is limited and can fill up quickly during peak seasons, so it’s advisable to arrive early. There is no cost for parking at the trailhead.

For those using public transportation, you can take the Gatlinburg Trolley, which has a route that includes stops near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
