If you are traveling by car, start from any main road in the Appalachian Mountains and make your way towards the town of Petros, TN. Use GPS or a map app to navigate to the address 9182 TN-116, Petros, TN 37845. If you are coming from Knoxville, take I-40 W for about 50 miles, then take exit 356 for TN-62 W towards Wartburg. Continue on TN-62 W, then turn right onto TN-116 N. Follow TN-116 for approximately 10 miles, and you will arrive at the Historic Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary. Parking is available on-site, and there is no fee for parking.

From Knoxville, you can take a Greyhound bus to Wartburg, TN.
