Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the Cades Cove Loop Road, which is the main road in Cades Cove. Make sure to enter the loop by following the signs. Continue driving along the loop until you reach the Wet Bottom Trail exit. Look for the trailhead sign, which is located near the Elijah Oliver Cabin. The cabin is approximately 2.5 miles from the start of the loop. Park in the designated parking area nearby, and you will see the cabin a short distance down the trail.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited in Cades Cove. However, if you have arranged for a shuttle service or tour that includes Cades Cove, make sure to inform your driver that you want to visit the Elijah Oliver Cabin. They should be familiar with the area and can drop you off at the Wet Bottom Trailhead. From there, it is a short walk to the cabin. Be sure to confirm any costs associated with the shuttle service when booking.

• Walking

  If you are already in Cades Cove and prefer to walk, start at the Cades Cove Visitor Center. From the Visitor Center, walk toward the Cades Cove Loop Road and follow the loop until you reach the Wet Bottom Trail. The cabin is approximately a 1-mile walk from the loop, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. This scenic walk will allow you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the park.
