Car
If you are traveling by car, begin your journey from downtown Chattanooga Valley. Head northwest on TN-27 N for approximately 5 miles. Take exit 1B to merge onto US-27 N toward I-24 N. Continue for about 4 miles and take the exit for TN-58 N. Follow TN-58 N for about 2.5 miles before turning right onto Game Reserve Road. After about 1 mile, you will arrive at the Prentice Cooper State Forest Trailhead parking area located at 3998 Game Reserve Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37405. Parking is free.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) bus service. Board the route that heads towards downtown Chattanooga and transfer to the bus line that services the North Chattanooga area (check CARTA's current schedule for exact routes and times). Disembark at the nearest stop to US-27 N, then use a rideshare service or taxi to cover the remaining distance to the trailhead parking. Note that rideshare services may incur additional costs depending on the distance and time of day.
