Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start at the Chattanooga Choo Choo transit center located at 1400 Market St, Chattanooga, TN 37402. Board the CARTA bus route 4 towards 'Brainerd' and enjoy the scenic ride. After approximately 25 minutes, get off at the stop for the Chattanooga Airport. From there, transfer to bus route 11 towards 'Harrison'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the stop for Champion Rd. Walk approximately 0.5 miles down Champion Rd, and you will reach Booker T. Washington State Park at 5801 Champion Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37416.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can start from downtown Chattanooga. Head east on the Riverwalk towards the Chattanooga State Community College. Continue on the bike path until you reach the intersection with Highway 153. Follow Highway 153 north until you reach Champion Rd. Turn left onto Champion Rd, and after about 1 mile, you will arrive at Booker T. Washington State Park, located at 5801 Champion Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37416.

    For a leisurely walk, start at the Tennessee Aquarium located at 1 Aquarium Way, Chattanooga, TN 37402. Walk north on Market St towards the Walnut St Bridge and cross the Tennessee River. After crossing, continue straight onto River St, then take a right onto 4th St. Walk until you reach the intersection with Highway 153. Turn left and walk down Highway 153 until you reach Champion Rd. Turn right onto Champion Rd, and after about 1.5 miles, you will find Booker T.
