Walking
From the Southside Historic District, start by heading northwest on E Main St toward S Market St. Continue on E Main St for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Chattanooga Riverwalk. Turn left onto the Riverwalk and enjoy a scenic walk along the Tennessee River for approximately 1 mile. This will take you to the foot of Lookout Mountain. As you continue, you will reach the entrance of Ruby Falls at 1720 Scenic Hwy, which is located directly off the Riverwalk on Scenic Highway.

If you prefer using public transit, walk to the nearest Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) bus stop located at 1500 Market St. Board the Route 4 bus heading towards Lookout Mountain.
