Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start your journey by heading to the nearest bus stop in downtown Clarksville. Take the Clarksville Transit System bus number 1 (Downtown route) towards the Montgomery County Government Center. After approximately 20 minutes, transfer to bus number 3 (North Clarksville route) at the Government Center. Stay on this bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of Highway 76 and Old Clarksville Highway. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Port Royal State Historic Park.

  • Bicycle

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local bike-sharing service in Clarksville. Begin your ride on Riverside Drive, heading north. Follow Riverside until you reach the intersection with Hwy 76. Take a left onto Hwy 76, and continue for about 6 miles. When you reach the intersection with Old Clarksville Highway, turn right. Port Royal State Historic Park will be on your left after about 1 mile. Make sure to follow the bike lanes wherever available for safety.
