Getting There

• Car

  Starting at the Fall Creek Falls State Park entrance, head southwest on State Park Rd. Continue for about 3.5 miles until you reach the intersection with TN-283 S. Turn left onto TN-283 S and drive for approximately 4.5 miles. Turn right onto Foster Falls Rd. Continue on Foster Falls Rd for about 2 miles until you reach the Foster Falls Recreation Area parking lot. Please note that there may be a small parking fee upon entry.

• Public Transportation

  From the nearest bus station in Spencer, TN, take a taxi or rideshare service, as public transportation options are limited in this rural area. Inform the driver that you want to go to Foster Falls Recreation Area, located at 498 Foster Falls Rd, Sequatchie, TN 37374. The ride should take about 30 minutes, and costs will vary based on your service choice.

• Bicycle

  If you are biking from Fall Creek Falls State Park, exit the park and head southwest on State Park Rd. After about 3.5 miles, turn left onto TN-283 S. Continue for 4.5 miles, then turn right onto Foster Falls Rd. The ride is scenic but be cautious of traffic along the routes. Ensure you have a helmet and are prepared for a total distance of approximately 10 miles one way.

• Walking

  For adventurous walkers from Fall Creek Falls State Park, head southwest on State Park Rd. It is about a 3.5-mile walk to TN-283 S, then turn left and walk approximately 4.5 miles to Foster Falls Rd. Walk another 2 miles to reach the recreation area. This is a rigorous trek, taking around 2.5 to 3 hours, so plan accordingly and wear appropriate footwear.
