Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Gatlinburg, start at the Gatlinburg Convention Center located at 234 Historic Nature Trail. Head east on Historic Nature Trail and continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-441 (the main road). Turn left onto US-441 N and walk for about 0.5 miles. You will see signs for the Sugarlands Visitor Center on your right. Cross the road safely at the crosswalk and follow the signs to the Visitor Center.

  • Public Transportation

    You can take the Gatlinburg Trolley from various stops around the city. Board the Trolley at any of the stops in downtown Gatlinburg, and look for the line that goes to the Sugarlands Visitor Center. The Trolley will take you directly to the Visitor Center. Make sure to check the schedule for the last departure times.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center on the Parkway. Head south on the Parkway (US-441) towards the Sugarlands Visitor Center. It's about a 2-mile ride, with a gentle incline. Follow the bike lane along the Parkway and look for the Visitor Center on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
