Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from the Hatchie River Area, head south on Highway 51 towards Memphis. Continue on Highway 51 for about 40 miles until you reach I-240. Take the exit for I-240 E towards Nashville. Follow I-240 for approximately 10 miles, then take the exit for Walnut Grove Road. Turn left onto Walnut Grove Road and drive for about 3 miles. After crossing over the railroad tracks, turn right onto Cherry Road. The Memphis Botanic Garden will be on your left at 750 Cherry Rd, Memphis, TN 38117. Parking is available on site.

    To reach the Memphis Botanic Garden by public transportation, start by taking a local bus from the Hatchie River Area to the nearest bus station that connects to Memphis. Once in Memphis, you can take the Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) bus line 34, which heads towards the East Memphis area. Get off at the nearest stop to Cherry Road and walk approximately 10 minutes to the Memphis Botanic Garden at 750 Cherry Rd.
