If you're starting in downtown Johnson City, head west on Main Street towards the intersection with State of Franklin Road. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with W. Walnut St. Turn right onto W. Walnut St. and walk straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with N. Roan St. Cross N. Roan St. and continue on W. Walnut St. for another block. You will then come to the bus station. From there, take the Johnson City Transit Bus (Route 4) going towards Jonesborough. Get off the bus at the Jonesborough stop, which is about 5 minutes away. From the bus stop, walk northwest on E. Main St. for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Chester Inn State Historic Site and Museum located at 116 W Main St, Jonesborough, TN.
