Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the South Main Arts District, start at the corner of South Main Street and G.E. Patterson Ave. Head south on South Main Street. The I Am a Man Mural is located at 398 S Main St, just a few blocks down. As you walk, look for the mural on your right side. It is on the side of a building, and you'll see the iconic phrase 'I Am a Man' prominently displayed.

  You can take the Memphis public bus service to get close to the mural. Locate the nearest bus stop, and take the bus route that heads towards Downtown Memphis. Make sure to check the schedule for the frequency of the buses. Get off at the stop closest to 398 S Main St. From there, it will be a short 5-minute walk south along South Main Street to reach the mural. Keep an eye out for it on your right.

The mural is located at 398 S Main St, which is about a 10-minute bike ride from the center of the district. Look for bike lanes along South Main to ensure a safe ride.
