To reach Chickamauga Dam Day Use Area by car from Rock City, start by heading southwest on Scenic Hwy toward TN-148 S. Continue on TN-148 S for about 6 miles, then take the ramp onto I-24 E. Merge onto I-24 E and stay on the highway for approximately 4 miles. Take exit 185 for US-27 N toward Chattanooga. After about 1.5 miles, take exit 1B to merge onto I-124 S. After about 3 miles, take exit 1 for US-27 N toward Chickamauga Dam. Follow the signs for the Dam and turn onto Kings Point Rd, where the Day Use Area will be on your left. Parking is available on-site.
