Bragg Reservation - National Military Park: A Historical and Scenic Retreat

Getting There

• Car

  If you are in Sequatchie Valley and driving to Bragg Reservation, start by heading northwest on US-127 N. Continue for approximately 13 miles until you reach the junction with I-24 E. Merge onto I-24 E and drive for about 12 miles. Take exit 185 toward US-27 S. Merge onto US-27 S and continue for about 5 miles. Take exit 1A toward Broad St. Continue on Broad St for 3 miles, then turn left onto S Crest Pl. Bragg Reservation will be on your right at 3136 S Crest Pl, Chattanooga, TN 37404.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Bragg Reservation via public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Sequatchie Valley to Chattanooga. Check the local bus schedules for routes that go to Chattanooga. Once in Chattanooga, transfer to the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) bus service. You will need to take the bus that goes towards Missionary Ridge. Get off at the nearest stop to S Crest Pl. From there, it is a short walk to 3136 S Crest Pl, Chattanooga, TN 37404. Be sure to check the current bus schedules and routes, as they may change.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, start from Sequatchie Valley and follow the same route as the driving instructions. However, ensure that you take appropriate safety measures and check for bike-friendly paths along US-127 N and US-27 S. The total distance is around 30 miles one way, so be prepared for a long ride. Once you arrive at S Crest Pl, park your bike securely and enjoy your visit to Bragg Reservation.

• Walking

  If you're already in Chattanooga, and close to the vicinity of Bragg Reservation, you can walk to the park. From downtown Chattanooga, head southeast toward Broad St. Walk for about 3 miles, then turn left onto S Crest Pl. Continue walking for about half a mile, and you will arrive at Bragg Reservation, located at 3136 S Crest Pl, Chattanooga, TN 37404. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
