To reach Sunset Rock by car, start from the center of Sequatchie Valley. Head north on US-127 N towards Dunlap. After approximately 10 miles, merge onto TN-8 N and continue for about 9 miles. Turn left onto W Brow Rd, following the signs for Lookout Mountain. After about 2 miles, you will arrive at 405 W Brow Rd, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350, where Sunset Rock is located. There is no entry fee for accessing the park.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will need to take a combination of bus and taxi. Start by taking the Sequatchie Valley bus service from Dunlap to Chattanooga. Once in Chattanooga, use a rideshare app or taxi service to reach Sunset Rock at 405 W Brow Rd, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350. Expect to spend around $30-$50 on the taxi ride from Chattanooga to Sunset Rock, depending on traffic.
Walking
If you are staying nearby and wish to walk to Sunset Rock, make sure to bring comfortable shoes. From the nearest bus stop on W Brow Rd, it is about a 20-minute walk to Sunset Rock. Follow W Brow Rd eastbound, and you will see signs directing you towards Sunset Rock. Please note that walking may not be feasible if you are coming from further away.
