If you're driving to Ruby Falls from within the Tennessee River Gorge area, start by heading southeast on Scenic Highway (Hwy 41). Continue on Scenic Highway for about 7 miles. You'll pass through beautiful landscapes and might even spot some local wildlife. As you approach Chattanooga, keep an eye out for the Ruby Falls sign on your right. Turn right into the Ruby Falls parking lot at 1720 Scenic Hwy. If you reach the Chattanooga city limits, you've gone too far.

To reach Ruby Falls using public transportation, first, take the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) bus route that serves the Tennessee River Gorge area. You will need to check the latest schedule for exact times. Once you arrive at the nearest stop along Scenic Highway, look for the Ruby Falls sign. It's about a 15-minute walk from the nearest bus stop to the entrance of Ruby Falls. Follow Scenic Highway south until you see the entrance on your left at 1720 Scenic Hwy.
