Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from any location in Upper Cumberland, start by getting onto US-127 S. Follow US-127 S for approximately 30 miles until you reach the town of Crossville. In Crossville, take the exit for I-40 E towards Knoxville. Merge onto I-40 E and continue for about 46 miles. Take exit 398 for US-25E S toward Morristown. Follow US-25E S for approximately 25 miles. Take the exit toward TN-63 E/Cumberland Gap. Merge onto TN-63 E and continue for about 8 miles. Then, take a left onto US-25E N. After about 1 mile, turn right onto E. Cumberland Gap Pkwy. Follow this road to the Tri-State Point, located at the intersection of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia. Be prepared for some scenic views along the way!

  To reach the KY-TN-VA Tri-State Point via public transportation, you will first need to take a Greyhound bus from Upper Cumberland to Morristown, TN. Check schedules and book your ticket in advance, as bus frequency can vary. Once you arrive in Morristown, you will need to take a local taxi or rideshare service to get to the Tri-State Point. The distance from Morristown to the Tri-State Point is about 30 miles, and it is advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand. From there, take the Hensley Settlement Trail or the Pinnacle Overlook Trail for scenic views. Follow the signs leading to the Tri-State Point. Ensure you wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry enough water for the hike. The hike can take around 2-3 hours, depending on your pace.
