Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start at the Amarillo Civic Center, located at 401 S Buchanan St. Board the Amarillo City Transit bus route 1, which is marked for the East Amarillo route. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop at 2601 E Interstate Dr, which is the stop closest to the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum. From the bus stop, walk a short distance to the entrance of the museum.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the downtown area of Amarillo. Head east on 6th Ave toward E I-27. Turn right onto E I-27 and continue for about 1.5 miles. Take a left onto E Interstate Dr. Follow E Interstate Dr for about half a mile, and you will find the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum on your right. Make sure to use bike lanes and paths wherever available for safety.
