Walking
If you are in Downtown Austin, the best way to reach Austin Boardwalk is to walk. Start at the Texas State Capitol (located at 1100 Congress Ave). From there, head south on Congress Avenue until you reach the intersection with Riverside Drive. Turn left onto Riverside Drive and continue walking for approximately 1.5 miles. You will pass several parks and the scenic Lady Bird Lake. The Boardwalk will be on your left, just past the intersection with South Lakeshore Blvd.

You can also take the Capital Metro bus service. From any central location in Downtown Austin, find the nearest bus stop for Route 21 (which travels along Riverside Drive).
