  • Public Bus

You can also take the Capital Metro bus service. From any central location in Downtown Austin, find the nearest bus stop for Route 21 (which travels along Riverside Drive). Board the bus and stay on until you reach the stop at Riverside Drive & South Lakeshore Blvd. From there, it's a short walk to the Boardwalk. The bus fare is $1.25 for a single ride, and you can pay with cash or use a Capital Metro app.

Another popular option is to use a scooter service like Lime or Bird. Download the app, locate a scooter nearby, and ride it along the same route as described for the bicycle. Just be cautious of pedestrians and follow all city regulations. This should only cost you around $1 to unlock and about $0.15 per minute after that.
