Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Texas State Capitol, head south on Congress Avenue towards 11th Street. Continue walking until you reach 11th Street, then turn left. Walk east on 11th Street until you reach Guadalupe Street. Turn right on Guadalupe and walk south for a short distance. Republic Square will be located on your left at 422 Guadalupe St.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  Locate the nearest bus stop and check for Route 1 (Lamar/64) or Route 5 (Woodland), which run through downtown Austin. Board the bus heading towards the direction of the Texas State Capitol and get off at the stop on 8th Street and Guadalupe. From there, walk north on Guadalupe Street for about two blocks, and Republic Square will be on your right at 422 Guadalupe St. A one-way bus fare is $1.25.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, you can use the Austin B-Cycle bike-sharing service. Find a nearby B-Cycle station using the app or website, then rent a bike and head south on Congress Avenue.
