Public Transit
Start at the downtown Austin area, such as the Austin Convention Center. Walk to the nearby Congress Avenue Bridge and take the Capital Metro bus #20 (Cesar Chavez) heading north. Get off at the stop at 38th St & Bull Creek Rd. From there, transfer to bus #3 (Burnet/Manchaca) and ride northbound until you reach the stop at 38th St & Mount Bonnell Rd. Walk approximately 0.5 miles west along Mount Bonnell Rd until you reach the entrance of Mount Bonnell.

Bicycle
If you are comfortable riding a bicycle, rent one from a local bike-sharing program. Start from downtown Austin and head north on the Lance Armstrong Bikeway. Follow the path that leads to the Bull Creek Greenbelt. Once you reach Bull Creek Rd, turn left and continue until you reach 38th St. Take a right on 38th St, then a left onto Mount Bonnell Rd. Follow Mount Bonnell Rd for about 0.5 miles uphill to reach the entrance of Mount Bonnell. This walk is approximately 2.5 miles and will take around an hour.
