If you are already within Big Bend National Park, locate the Chisos Basin Road. From the Panther Junction Visitor Center, head west on the Main Park Road (TX-385) for about 7 miles until you reach the junction for Chisos Basin Road. Turn left onto Chisos Basin Road and continue for approximately 6 miles. The road will lead you directly to the Chisos Basin area, where you will find the Chisos Basin Trailhead. There are signs along the way to guide you.
