Getting There

• Car

Take the exit toward N Capital of Texas Hwy/US-183 N. Merge onto N Capital of Texas Hwy and continue for about 1 mile. The Pennybacker Bridge Overlook will be on your left. Look for signs indicating the overlook area, as parking is available nearby.

  To reach Pennybacker Bridge Overlook using public transportation, start by taking the Capital Metro bus route 10 (South 1st/60) from downtown Austin towards the North. You will need to transfer to route 392 at the North Lamar Transit Center. Take route 392 towards the Westlake area. Get off at the stop nearest to N Capital of Texas Hwy and then walk approximately 0.5 miles north along the highway to reach the overlook. Start on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail along Lady Bird Lake, then follow the trail north toward the western edge of the city.
