Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting to the Barton Creek Greenbelt Trail. From downtown Austin, head south on South Congress Avenue (US-290) for about 3 miles. Turn left onto Barton Springs Road and continue for about 1.5 miles. You will see the entrance to the Barton Creek Greenbelt on your right. Drive to the parking area near the trailhead at the intersection of Barton Creek Boulevard and the Greenbelt entrance. Note that there may be parking fees depending on the location you choose to park.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Capital Metro bus service. You can catch the #30 bus from downtown Austin which will take you towards the Barton Creek area. Get off at the stop near Barton Springs Pool. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Barton Creek Greenbelt Trailhead. Follow Barton Springs Road, then turn right onto the trail entrance. Make sure to check the Capital Metro website for current schedules and fares.
Walking
Once you reach the Barton Creek Greenbelt Trailhead, follow the trail marked towards Sculpture Falls. The hike to the falls is approximately 1.5 miles and can take about 30-45 minutes depending on your pace. The trail can be rocky and uneven, so wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the trail as you make your way to the falls!
