If you are driving from downtown Austin, head west on W 6th St toward W 11th St. Turn right onto W 11th St, and continue for two blocks. The Texas African American History Memorial will be on your left at 100 W 11th St, right near the Texas State Capitol. There is street parking available, but be mindful of any parking regulations.

To reach the Texas African American History Memorial via public transportation, you can take the Capital Metro bus. Look for Route 7 (which operates frequently) and get off at the '11th St & Congress Ave' stop. From there, walk north along Congress Ave for about 3 blocks until you reach W 11th St. Turn left and walk one block to find the memorial at 100 W 11th St, next to the Texas State Capitol.
