If you're driving to the Texas Capitol Visitors Center from anywhere in Central Texas, start by getting on I-35 South. Follow the signs for Austin and continue on I-35 until you reach the exit for 11th St (Exit 234C). After exiting, turn left onto 11th St. The Texas Capitol Visitors Center will be on your left at 112 E 11th St, right across from the Texas State Capitol building. There is limited parking nearby, so consider looking for public parking garages in the area.

To reach the Texas Capitol Visitors Center using public transportation, find the nearest Capital Metro bus stop. Depending on your location in Central Texas, you can take routes 1, 3, or 7, which all stop near the Capitol. Get off at the 11th St & Congress Ave stop, which is a short walk to the Visitors Center. Head east on 11th St towards the Capitol, and you’ll find the Texas Capitol Visitors Center located at 112 E 11th St. Make sure to check the Capital Metro website for the most current schedules.
