Car
If you are driving, start on I-35 South towards Austin. Take exit 234C for US-290 W toward Dripping Springs. Merge onto US-290 W and continue for about 3 miles. Take a left onto S Lamar Blvd and continue for about 1 mile. Turn right onto Barton Springs Rd and follow the signs for Zilker Metropolitan Park. The park entrance will be on your right. There is ample parking available.

If you are using public transport, you can catch the Capital Metro bus #30 from downtown Austin. Board the bus at any of the stops along 6th Street. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the 'Barton Springs / Zilker Park' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of Zilker Metropolitan Park. Follow the signs leading into the park.

For those who prefer cycling, there are bike lanes along many of the main routes. If you are in downtown Austin, head south on Congress Avenue, which will turn into South 1st Street. Continue until you reach the intersection with Barton Springs Rd. Turn left and follow the road directly into Zilker Metropolitan Park. There are bike racks available for parking your bike.

If you are staying nearby, walking is a great way to reach Zilker Metropolitan Park. From the downtown area, head south on South 1st Street. Cross the river at the South Congress Bridge and continue straight. You will see the park entrance on your right after crossing Barton Springs Rd. It is approximately a 30-minute walk from the city center.
