If you are starting from downtown Dallas, take the DART Light Rail Blue Line from the Akard Station (located near the Dallas Arts District) toward the 'Ledbetter' station. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Ledbetter' station. From there, transfer to the DART bus route 40. Board the bus heading toward 'Cedar Crest'. After a short ride of about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Cedar Crest Boulevard' stop. The Dallas Zoo will be a short walk ahead on your right, at 650 S R.L. Thornton Fwy.
