Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you are near the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) station, you can take the DART Bus Route 75. Board the bus heading towards the Park Cities area. Get off at the stop closest to Southern Methodist University (SMU), which is located at 6425 Boaz Street. From there, it’s a short walk to the university's main entrance. Make sure to check the DART schedule for bus timings.

• Light Rail

  Take the DART Light Rail Green Line to the Mockingbird Station. Once you arrive, exit the station and head east on Mockingbird Lane. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles, and you will reach the entrance of Southern Methodist University. This route is well-marked, and you will see signs directing you to the campus.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available around Dallas. From the city center, head north on the Katy Trail, which is a paved path leading towards the Park Cities area. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with Mockingbird Lane. Turn left and continue until you reach Southern Methodist University. The ride is about 3 miles and offers a scenic route.

• Walking

  If you are already close to the university and prefer to walk, you can navigate through the nearby neighborhoods. Start at the nearest major intersection, such as Hillcrest Avenue and Mockingbird Lane. Walk south on Hillcrest Avenue until you reach the university's entrance. The campus is easily accessible and well-signposted, so you shouldn't have trouble finding your way.
