Car
From the center of Davis Mountains State Park, head southeast on Park Road 3 toward TX-118. After about 6 miles, turn right onto TX-118 South. Continue on TX-118 South for approximately 5 miles until you reach the junction with Madera Canyon Road. Turn left onto Madera Canyon Road and follow it for about 3 miles. The entrance to Davis Mountains Preserve will be on your right. Ensure you have a map or GPS device as cell service may be limited.

If using public transportation, take a bus from Fort Davis to the nearest stop on TX-118. The closest bus service may require some prior scheduling. Once you arrive at the TX-118 stop, you will need to walk approximately 3 miles along TX-118 towards Madera Canyon Road. Be prepared for a rural walking experience with limited amenities. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and carry sufficient water. Alternatively, consider ridesharing options to minimize walking distance.
