If you are starting from the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, walk to the nearest bus stop located at 25th St and Seawall Blvd. Catch the Island Transit Bus Route 1 heading towards East End. After approximately 15 minutes, disembark at the stop named 'Apffel East Beach'. From there, walk east along Apffel Rd for about 5 minutes, and you will reach East Beach (R.A. Apffel) at 1923 Apffel Rd.

Bicycle
From the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops nearby. Head east on Seawall Blvd, then take a left onto 61st St. Continue straight, and it will merge into Apffel Rd. Follow Apffel Rd for about 2 miles until you reach East Beach (R.A. Apffel) at 1923 Apffel Rd. This route is scenic and will take around 15-20 minutes.

Walk
If you are starting from the Strand Historic District, walk towards the Galveston Cruise Terminal and head south on Harborside Dr. Turn left onto 25th St and continue until you reach Seawall Blvd. Turn right onto Seawall Blvd and walk for about 1.5 miles. Then, turn left onto Apffel Rd and walk for another 10 minutes to reach East Beach (R.A. Apffel) at 1923 Apffel Rd. This walk will take approximately 40-50 minutes.
