    If you're starting from the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, walk to the nearest bus stop at 25th Street and Seawall Blvd. Take the Island Transit bus route 1 towards the Galveston Terminal. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, then get off at the stop at 1 Hope Blvd. Moody Gardens will be on your left.

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike at one of the bike rental spots near the Seawall. Start your ride heading east on Seawall Blvd. Continue straight for about 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection of Seawall Blvd and 61st Street. Turn left onto 61st Street and continue straight until you reach Hope Blvd. Turn right on Hope Blvd, and Moody Gardens will be on your right.

  • Walking

    If you're staying at a hotel near the Strand Historic District, you can walk to Moody Gardens. Head south on 20th Street towards Postoffice Street. Turn left onto Postoffice Street and follow it to the beach. Once you reach Seawall Blvd, turn right and walk along the seawall for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto 61st Street and then right onto Hope Blvd. Moody Gardens will be ahead on your right.
