If you're in Galveston, a great way to reach Fort Travis Park is by bicycle. Start at the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. Head east on Seawall Blvd (TX-87) along the coast. Continue cycling on the Seawall until you reach the intersection with 61st Street. Turn left onto 61st Street, and then take a right onto the road leading to TX-87. Follow TX-87 north for about 12 miles, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Fort Travis Park will be on your left at 900 TX-87, Port Bolivar, TX 77650.
Ferry
To get to Fort Travis Park using public transport, you can take a ferry ride from Galveston. Start at the Galveston Ferry Terminal (located at 2100 Ferry Rd). Board the ferry to Port Bolivar (it runs regularly). Once you arrive at Port Bolivar, exit the ferry and head north on TX-87. Continue for approximately 1.5 miles, and Fort Travis Park will be on your right at 900 TX-87, Port Bolivar, TX 77650.
Walking
