Getting There

• Car

From Galveston, take the ferry from the Galveston Ferry Terminal to Port Bolivar. The ferry ride is free and takes about 18 minutes. Once you arrive in Port Bolivar, follow the signs to Everett Street. Turn onto Everett and continue until you reach the lighthouse. Parking is available near the lighthouse.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited, but you can take a bus from Galveston to Port Bolivar. Check local transit schedules for the availability of routes. Once you arrive in Port Bolivar, you may need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach the lighthouse, as it is located a short distance from the bus stop. • Bicycle

  Walking to Point Bolivar Lighthouse is not recommended due to the distance from the nearest public transport stops and the lack of sidewalks on some roads. If you do decide to walk from the ferry terminal, be prepared for a long trek of about 3 miles, which may take over an hour. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes.
