Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, exit the pier and head east on Seawall Blvd. Continue walking along Seawall Blvd for about 1.5 miles until you reach 29th Street. Turn left (north) onto 29th Street and walk straight until you reach Avenue O 1/2. Turn right (east) onto Avenue O 1/2 and walk for about 2 blocks. Historic -- The Cradle will be on your left at 2902 Avenue O 1/2.

    If you are starting from the Strand Historic District, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Head east on Mechanic Street, which will lead you to 20th Street. Turn right (south) onto 20th Street and continue until you reach Seawall Blvd. Turn left (east) onto Seawall Blvd and ride for about 1.5 miles. Turn left (north) onto 29th Street, then turn right (east) onto Avenue O 1/2. Historic -- The Cradle will be on your left at 2902 Avenue O 1/2.
