Public Transit (Metro)
From downtown Houston, walk to the Main Street Metro Rail Line at Main St. and Congress St. Board the Metro Rail Red Line train towards the Northline Transit Center. Get off at the 'Main St. Square' stop and transfer to the 82 Westheimer bus. Ride the bus until you reach the 'Montrose @ Westheimer' stop. From there, transfer to the 50 Hardy Toll Road bus and ride it until you get off at 'Sabine St. @ Memorial Dr.' which is a short walk to Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern located at 105-B Sabine St.
Bicycle
If you're comfortable biking, rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations around downtown Houston. Head towards Allen Parkway, following it westbound. Continue on Allen Parkway until you reach Sabine Street. Turn right onto Sabine Street, and the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern will be on your left at 105-B Sabine St. The ride is approximately 2 miles and offers scenic views of the bayou.

If you are near the Discovery Green Park in downtown Houston, walk towards the southwest corner of the park to find the intersection of La Branch St. and Prairie St. Head west on Prairie St. until you reach the intersection with Travis St. Continue on Travis St. until it curves into Allen Parkway. Follow Allen Parkway until you reach Sabine Street, then turn left. The Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern is located at 105-B Sabine St, just a short walk down on the left side.
